Mojca Zavolovšek /Moytsa/
Born in the 80’s in one of the last generations of Yugoslavia, I grew up in Gornji Grad, a charming little green town in the Slovenian mountains. As a child running around like Heidi, I had lots of dreams of what I would become. Four years of nursing school trying to become a doctor, a shot at architecture, and a year in fashion only took me back to what I liked as a kid: Art. And so, I moved to Ljubljana and became a Graphic Designer.
I started my professional career as an editorial designer at Bonnier, Ljubljana. Eight years later, I got on a plane and flew to Beirut, the (ex-)Paris of the East, and a continuous source of news-making stories. There, I worked in both editorial design and advertising, and wrote home with the occasional article from the Middle East.
But Berlin was calling! And I took the call. Today I am an Art Director living in the German capital, and holding a few awards, with an experience in graphic design, editorial design, advertising, and digital design.
